5 Steps to Booking Cheap Flight in 2023
Planning a trip can be exciting and daunting at the same time. Ever since I won my first all expenses overseas trip to Bali, I got hooked and the desire to taste the delicious palate of flavours of the world got to offer. It not only just heighten up my curiosity level to another notch but also made me realized that hey, I can travel to my dream destination for FREE! But fret not if you are telling me that I don’t have the ability to win in any contest, let me ask you then, have you even try to participate in any contest to begin with?
It was in 2005 and everything about booking flights to hotel accommodation to securing a travel package seems expensive for a Malaysian like me. I meant Malaysia’s first low cost Air Asia was not really low either at that time but things has changed and the transitions from zero base fare to booking using your AirAsia points on 1st Mondays of the month as low as 500 points for a return tickets locally (boy I hope this feature will be offered again soon) to AirAsia X opening more routes, we Asians get the chance to see the world with much affordable rate favourable with our MYR currency rate that is depreciating. But fast forward, now it is year 2023, we have more options and choices.
It has been 3 years since pandemic that most organisers do not offer travel packages or flight tickets but the good news is the Dogs Days are over and some of the company are starting to offer really great travel packages including return flight tickets for not only 1 but 2. I repeat for 2 yes! Some company are throwing this great prizes, so hear me out!
STEP 1 - JOIN ONLINE / OFFLINE CONTEST
Scout and search online competitions and if you are lucky there are few sweepstakes that are giving free return flight tickets (you only need to pay tax fare at times even not required). For offline contest if you head to supermarkets to buy your regular groceries, be on the look out for some physical forms hanging by the side of the items that you may want to purchase eg dairy products, biscuits, chocolates, tea etc.

Another options for you to do comparison and you may even find your new destination that was not in your bucket list before because of the mind blowing cheap flight. Also beware there are reasons for the price being cheap perhaps its raining or heavy snow winter seasons etc.
STEP 4 - MAKE COMPARISON
Make a simple comparison between the travel site, and voila you got yourself a deal.
STEP 5 - MAKE THAT BOOKING!
Finally make that booking and no turning back. You are on your way for your next adventure!
